8-Year-Old Suspected In Baby's Death

According to police, it is believed that the children were left alone for an unspecified amount of time and that the young girl had stepped in when Korey started crying.

The child allegedly had bite marks on his face and hands when his mom arrived to pick him up. He did not yet know a cause of death.

The body of the 1-year-old, identified by his mother as Korey Brown, was found concealed Friday morning in a bedroom of 'Keysha Keepers, ' Muskegon Police Chief Jeffrey Lewis said.

There was at least one adult and four children at the daycare center, but police are considering an unidentified 8-year-old girl a suspect.

Lewis said there were no obvious injuries to the child, but his mother, Bryanna Reasonover, told WXMI-TV that he had bite marks and bruises on his face and bite marks on his fingers. She also says her baby was covered with bite marks and bruises when she went to get him.

"The 1-year-old was crying and it appears no one was attending to the child", he said.

She entered the home and found Korey unresponsive in a Pack 'n Play, she said.

She told WZZM that she saw bruises on his face. She had dropped them off the previous night before working an overnight shift.

State records show the facility's license was approved in November and expires next month.
