NASA providing 1st live 360-degree view of rocket launch

If liftoff from Launch Complex 41 slips to Wednesday, weather odds drop to 80 percent "go" during the window that opens at 10:48 a.m.

NASA, in coordination with United Launch Alliance (ULA) and Orbital ATK, will broadcast the world's first live 360° stream of a rocket launch.

The immersive video will allow viewers to use their mouse or move their personal device to see every inch of the launch site at Cape Canaveral's Space Launch Complex-41.

While the minimum safe viewing distance is typically miles away from the launch pad, this livestream promises viewers a much closer look at a powerful rocket launch, or what NASA is calling a "pads-eye view".

The Atlas V rocket will place the spacecraft on a precise path to reach the space station about four days after launch.
