French centrist promises to simplify labor law

French firefighters and police and members of special Police units RAID conduct an investigation after two Frenchmen were arrested in Marseille, France, April 18, 2017 for planning to carry out an "imminent and violent attack" ahead of the first round of the presidential election on Sunday, France's interior minister said.

The men are suspected of plotting "an imminent, violent act on French soil, though we don't know precisely the day, the target or targets", Molins said.

The pair, who police said were taken into custody in the southern port city a few moments apart from each other, were radicalised French nationals aged 24 and 30, the minister, Matthias Fekl, said. They had met while sharing a cell during a jail term for public offenses.
