"Saturday Night Live" returned this week with host Louis C.K., but actor Alec Baldwin once again stole the show when he played both President Donald Trump and Bill O'Reilly in a sketch about sexual harassment allegations against the Fox News host.
Fox says that it will be looking into the claims made by former "O'Reilly Factor" guest Wendy Walsh who confirmed the allegations made by so many other women when she made a complaint of her own to Fox's misconduct hotline last week. "I told them we really appreciate that and let's get going as soon as possible". Baldwin's O'Reilly discovers during the skit that one of his reporters isn't on the scene - and no longer works for Fox News - prompting O'Reilly to ask: "Did she get the check?"
The Times reported that five women over a period of more than a decade have been paid a total of $13 million by either O'Reilly, Fox News or parent company 21st Century Fox. According to the New York Times, O'Reilly rude behavior and verbal abuse directed at Walsh were mentioned in the sexual harassment suits against him. "We have produced an ad to educate Donald Trump to air during The O'Reilly Factor in NY and D.C. We submitted it to stations on Friday, but weirdly, we haven't heard back from them since".
1.7M Snapchat user details allegedly posted in India
Pompliano's lawsuit accuses executives of exaggerating user data to mislead advertisers. Plus, he alleged that the company was inflating its growth numbers prior to its IPO.
Representatives for 21st Century Fox told the Times that O'Reilly denies the "merits of these claims" but that he "has resolved those he regarded as his personal responsibility".
"Trump" also visited The O'Reilly Factor to promote Sexual Assault Awareness Month, "a subject near and dear to my hand", the president said.
Walsh never pursued litigation as part of her settlement terms, but she did hire Bloom, who recorded her phone call to 21st Century Fox and uploaded the footage to Youtube. Since the allegations surfaced, dozens of advertisers have pulled their spots from O'Reilly's show.
Kendall Jenner is 'more of a Jenner than a Kardashian'
She's always chopping and changing her hair style and colour, but her latest green do has upset one famous singer. As for her love life, the Keeping Up With the Kardashian star insists, "I'm not marrying anyone".
Baldwin reprised his Trump impression in a Bill O'Reilly sketch-in which he also portrayed O'Reilly. The O'Reilly Factor is the top-rated news discussion show on cable television.
Fox News has stood by O'Reilly, as it can financially withstand the impact of the advertiser defections by placing the commercials in other programs on the channel. Several Fox News personalities, including Sean Hannity and Jeanine Pirro, defended Trump in the wake of the release of the tape. Six of them were "per inquiry" ads, which means payment for them is usually based on how many people call a toll-free number to purchase the product or service being advertised.
