Aaron Hernandez's fiancee seeking release of notes left in cell

The gay prison lover of former American football star and Super Bowl victor Aaron Hernandez has finally spoken out six days after the star took his own life in a prison cell. Authorities said he left behind three suicide notes.

A spokeswoman for the Connecticut Funeral Directors Association told ABC that after the services, the family would be having Hernandez's remains cremated.

Lawyers for former National Football League star Aaron Hernandez are formally asking that his first-degree murder conviction be dismissed in MA now that he has died. On April 14, he was acquitted of a double murder charge. He was charged in the slayings in 2014. On top of that, they could owe Hernandez $2.5 million in base salary he was never paid following the arrest. Among the reports the family wants to confirm is whether Hernandez had the biblical citation John 3:16 written on his forehead. Hernandez was found hanging from a bed sheet, and rumors about a secret bisexual life continue to make headlines after three apparent suicide notes were found, which prompted a relative to speak out.

Some community members say this tragedy gave them a road map to keep the next hometown star from going down the wrong path.

Hernandez was at a maximum-security prison in MA serving a life sentence for a 2013 murder.

Under a longstanding MA legal principle, courts customarily vacate the convictions of defendants who die before their appeals are heard. Investigators believe Hernandez killed himself in an MA prison.

Hernandez's appellate lawyers filed a motion Tuesday seeking to dismiss his conviction. A spokesman for the Bristol County, Mass., district attorney's office confirmed that the prosecutors in the case will oppose the motion. The Boston Globe reported that free-agent linebacker Brandon Spikes also was in attendance. The newspaper also cited a clause in the NFL's collective bargaining agreement, which states that any player who is unavailable to the team "due to conduct by him that results in his incarceration. may be required to forfeit signing bonus".
