Frozen 2 Finally Gets a Release Date

In 2013, kids all over the world were ecstatic when they were introduced to sisters Anna and Elsa (we were too).

Just when you thought that the never-ending Frozen hype had started to die down ever so slightly amongst adults and kids alike, Disney Animation Studios took to Twitter on Tuesday to reveal the release date for the sequel.

While a sequel to Disney's mega-hit that took in almost $1.3 billion worldwide (and spawned a song you're probably singing to yourself right now) was a no-brainer, I'm kind of surprised it's taken this long for Frozen 2 to feel like it was actually going to happen.

And the actors who play Anna, Elsa and Olaf are all returning.

The original "Frozen" was Disney's top-grossing animated film of all-time, taking in $1.3 billion. "All my Elsas say ho!"

Last month, it was announced that Frozen was getting a sequel, and now we have an official date! Josh Gad will again voice adorable snowman Olaf and Jennifer Lee will stay in the director's chair.

Meanwhile, the live-action reboots of Mulan and The Lion King will be released on November 2, 2018, and July 19, 2019, respectively.

You read that right, "Frozen 2" is coming to a theater near you.
