Nationwide, the groups striking represent four different union contracts and include wireless workers in 36 states and DC; wireline workers in California, Nevada and CT; and DIRECTV technicians in California and Nevada.

They represent four different union contracts and include wireless workers in 36 states and D.C., the union said.

CWA said that the anticipated AT&T strike would last three days and would include AT&T Mobility employees in 36 states and the District of Columbia; wireline workers in California, Nevada, and CT; and DirecTV technicians in California and Nevada.

Marty Richter, an AT&T spokesman, said the company was offering the wireless workers wage and pension increases and called the willingness to strike "baffling".

After decisive win, Macron to take over on Sunday
This could give the National Front a significant increase on the two seats the party now holds. "I will fight with all my strength against the divisions that are undermining us", he said.

Both the company and union members say they've always worked well together.

This weekend's strike comes almost two months after 17,000 AT&T workers in Nevada and California walked off the job. About 40 workers are expected to protest outside the company's main administrative office on Bush Street on Friday, but not over the weekend, he said. The wireline and DirecTV workers have been without a new contract for over a year and held a one-day strike in March.

In a statement, AT&T says they're baffled the union leadership is calling a strike.

AT&T workers are committed to putting an end to unnecessary frustration and poor service because of AT&T's lack of investment in its core business.

They tell us they have an unrealistic time off policy, increasing health care costs and a threat of off shoring jobs.

If the walkout happens, it will be the first national strike since the start of the Trump administration.

The majority of the 21,000 union members in AT&T's wireless operations work at small AT&T Mobility retail shops, employing about a dozen workers on average. We're confident employees will be better off financially in their new contracts. But the company says it has been training replacement workers and is ready for any job action.

The workers are pushing for a bigger wage increase that appears to have spooked AT&T that is pushing for a 2% annual raise. We're the only major wireless company with a unionized workforce. Richardson said he expects about 100 to 200 workers to walk a picket line outside 1 Powell St., AT&T's flagship retail store in the city, Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday.
