British Airways says computer outage causing global delays

This comes after passengers at Gatwick Airport faced chaotic scenes and long queues due to a baggage system problem on Friday.

British Airways (BA) on Saturday cancelled its flights from London to Chennai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, following a massive IT failure at Heathrow and Gatwick airports.

The airline said there was no evidence that the breakdown had been caused by a cyber attack.

"We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience this is causing our customers during this busy holiday period".

He told customers to check BA's Twitter account or the website for updates.

Nevertheless, Ronaldo believes there must be a way through when Madrid and Juve clash on June 3 in Cardiff's Millennium Stadium. The 2017 Champions League Final will be played with the roof on at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff next weekend.

Earlier, passengers at Heathrow reported long lines at check-in counters and flight delays.

Heathrow Airport said it was "working closely" with British Airways to solve the issue.

Last September, British Airways' check-in system down because of a computer netrwork failure, causing worldwide service delays. No other airlines have been affected by the issue.

One traveller, PR executive Melissa Davis, said she was held for more than an hour and a half on the tarmac at Heathrow aboard a BA flight arriving from Belfast.

Melania Trump wears $51K Dolce & Gabbana jacket in Sicily
Dolce & Gabbana have made Sicily their fashion muse, so it makes sense that she would turn to them also in Sicily. The black midi dress incorporated a crew neckline, short sleeves and decorative buttons at the bodice.

Speaking with Lesley Mancuso via Twitter, she said to LondonLovesBusiness: "They have not officially announced a cancellation of my flight; now we are on a delay until 16:00".

British Airways has now extended the flight cancellations. The company has not yet determined the cause of the outage, a company spokesperson told RT.

The airline urged passengers booked on those flights not to go those airports. Passengers are reverting to online news sites to find out their flights are cancelled.

A passenger claimed that BA "made no announcements at all" about the delays.

American Airlines, which operates code-share flights with BA, said it was unaffected. Additionally, Heathrow said that it had extra customer service representatives assisting those passengers already there, providing water, snacks and meal vouchers to those impacted - as well as free travel to nearby Paddington.
