Trump makes G-7 deal on trade, takes rain check on climate

That's what the top House Democrat is calling President Donald Trump's expected decision to pull the USA from a historic climate agreement.

Trump tweeted on Wednesday morning that he will make his decision public within a few days.

U.S. President Donald Trump (C) and other leaders arrive for the group photo for the G7 Outreach Program on the second and last day of the G7 Taormina summit on the island of Sicily on May 27, 2017 in Taormina, Italy. "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" the president tweeted, as several United States media reported he had made up his mind to quit the accord.

This will completely unravel former President Barack Obama's climate change policy, and will impact the global fight against rising temperatures, as the USA is the second biggest emitter of greenhouse gases.

A United Nations panel of climate scientists says it is at least 95 percent probable that man-made greenhouse gas emissions, mainly from burning fossil fuels, are the main cause of climate change since 1950. The US had previously committed to a goal of reducing carbon emissions by 26% to 28% by 2025.

He was being protected in Marawi by the local Maute group, which has pledged allegiance to IS. Many people have fled Marawi , but others are hiding in their homes.

In February, Uber chief Travis Kalanick quit the economic panel, saying his presence had been viewed as an endorsement of the Trump administration.

On Tuesday, Modi said in Berlin that it would be a "crime" to spoil the environment for future generations as the world awaits a decision on USA climate policy.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi called President Donald Trump's decision "a stunning abdication of American leadership", saying in a statement that pulling out of the pact will result in "a grave threat to our planet's future".

A formal withdrawal would take three years, but that could be expedited if the USA pulls out of an underlying United Nations treaty.

Global leaders began reacting to the reports of Trump's plans.

Jupiter police released photos of the Wood's black Mercedes Wednesday afternoon, showing one of the car's tires flat and damaged. Woods' speech was "extremely slow and slurred, mumbled [and] confused" and he was "extremely sleepy", according to the report.

There have been influential voices urging Trump not to ditch the Paris accord.

He added: "The world is in a mess".

"It will take years for the U.S.to formally withdraw from the Paris deal". "And we will partner with cities big and small around the country to support them in doing the same". Yet time and again, President Trump has proven he's more interested in protecting polluters than people. That promise helped rally supporters sharing his skepticism of global efforts to police U.S. carbon emissions.

Also, earlier this month Musk joined other business executives who sent Trump an open letter urging him to stay in the Paris agreement. It would reflect a major reversal of the Obama administration's efforts on climate change. China and the US account for almost 40 percent of global carbon emissions.

Supporters of the climate pact are concerned that a United States exit could lead other nations to weaken their commitments or also withdraw, softening an accord that scientists have said is critical to avoiding the worst impacts of climate change.
