The White House should "immediately" revoke Kushner's clearance pending the conclusion of the FBI's Russian Federation probe that has reportedly zeroed in on Kushner, the lawmakers wrote in a letter to White House counsel Don McGahn. Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly's claim that back channel communications are "both normal, in my opinion, and acceptable" doesn't fully explain the circumstances of the request coming from someone who is so close to Trump and on the heels of an election in which Russian interference looms large.

"We are concerned about recent reports detailing Kushner Companies' use of the EB-5 Regional Center program, especially in light of Jared Kushner's role in the Trump administration and the potential for conflicts of interest", the letter reads.

By the time the first change in what may be a broader shake-up was announced on Tuesday, the White House was left without a replacement.

Last week, The Post and The Times reported that Kushner, Trump's son-in-law, proposed setting up a secret communications line with the Kremlin during a meeting in early December at Trump Tower.

Kushner, 36, who is married to President Trump's daughter Ivanka, played a central role in his father-in-law's 2016 campaign.

For two days in a row, since returning from President Trump's trip overseas, the White House press secretary has held uncharacteristically short press briefings in which he claimed not to know the answer to questions, outsourced questions to other officials or dismissed the premise of questions entirely.

President Trump to make decision on Paris climate change accords
President Donald Trump will announce that the United States is withdrawing from the Paris climate change accord. That's according to multiple congressional officials and others briefed by the White House on the decision.

Dubke was employed by the White House to manage the office which runs public relations issues and the press.

Despite their often harsh content, I've come to discover an endearing political innocence in Mr. Trump's tweets.

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the ranking House Intelligence Committee member, had also called for renewed scrutiny of Kushner's clearance in a Sunday interview with ABC's "This Week".

Kushner has also served as the point person for officials from Canada, Mexico, Germany and China, though he has tried to direct daily contacts to the State Department and National Security Council. In April 2017, Congressman Lieu was just one of four Democrats who signed onto a letter to OPM Director Charles Phalen and then FBI Director James Comey raising concerns regarding Jared Kushner's failure to disclose his meetings with foreign officials.

Conway dodges questions on whether Trump believes climate change is a hoax
Trump claimed a number of times during his election campaign that climate change was a hoax created by the Chinese . The agreement stipulated a plan to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in an effort to curb global warming.

Before that, Trump reportedly revealed classified information to the Russian ambassador and foreign minister during a closed-door meeting.
