The surface-to-surface medium range ballistic missile is a joint initiative of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL). As already three tests have been failed, we can not afford to take any risk this time.

On May 24, "The Express" had carried a report on how the weapon system is being pushed for tests despite faults in the system drawing criticism from different quarters.

Delay in the process of wing deployment led to third failure of the subsonic cruise missile. It can hit mobile targets, including unmanned aerial vehicles.

But Trump's decision could be based on something far more troubling. But Trump said the agreement disadvantaged the U.S.

"The missile trajectory was tracked by the DRDO radars, electro-optical tracking systems and telemetry stations located along the coast of Odisha", News18 quoted the sources. The missile used for the test was picked randomly from the assembly line. "Carrying a dummy payload, it covered the desired striking range and met all mission objectives successfully", said an official.
