Ravens TE Dennis Pitta Suffers Another Hip Injury

Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta suffered a third injury to his right hip in a Friday OTA session, general manager Ozzie Newsome said.

But after sitting out the 2015 season, Pitta made a decision to return even though he knew he could dislocate his hip at any time. The team reports Pitta stretched to make a catch and fell to the turf.

Pitta, 31, played 16 games past year.

Pitta's latest injury might end his career.

May's debate no-show is fodder for rivals
May's absence might not have been so glaring but for a last minute decision by Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn to attend the debate, having previously said he would also miss the encounter.

It's been a rough week of organized team activities for Baltimore.

Pitta had a career high 729 yards and scored twice last season.

"I am not getting as many questions about my hip; that is one [difference]", Pitta said on May 25. He returned to action for the final four games that season, but then in Week 3 the following season, he crumpled to the ground without contact at Cleveland after suffering another hip injury. Pitta, 31, has been with the Ravens since he was drafted in the fourth round out of Brigham Young in 2010.

Pitta was originally due $5.4 million in base salary this season, but reworked his deal this offseason to stay with the franchise, according to NFL.com.
