Two Australians killed in London Bridge terrorist attack, government confirms

Meanwhile, the royal family has shared their condolences saying their hearts go out to the victims, their families and friends.

Ms Zelenak is the second Australian to be named as a casualty.

Australian Foreign Affairs Minister Julie Bishop said in a news release that the government has confirmed that two Australians were killed, but was awaiting official confirmation of the victims' identities before releasing their names. The Australian Government remains in close contact with the victims' families, who have requested privacy.

Australian prime minister Malcolm Turnbull told Melbourne Radio 3AW Ms Boden was killed by "cowardly, vicious terrorists".

"I feel bad, I can't think", he said.

"We are heartbroken by these awful crimes and this bad loss".

All eight people murdered in the London Bridge terror attack have now been identified. She was the smart, sensible girl next door who couldn't wait to meet her parents in Paris.

"Our thoughts at this time are with her family, her loved ones and our staff who have lost a dear friend and colleague".

"We were counting down the days to see her", Wallace said.

"She's unbelievable and she's 21 years of age".

The pair were both au pairs working in Herne Hill in south London and had met each other on a train.

Ms Zelenak, 21, had been reported missing after she became separated from a friend while on London Bridge on Saturday night (UK time).

Sharing a video of his daughter online, her father Mark Wallace wrote: "I really miss that amusing little laugh".

Ms Zelenak's mother told Brisbane radio station 97.3FM she and her husband had been looking forward to travelling to the United Kingdom to see their daughter.

"The one with Ariana Grande's [concert], she was going to go to the concert [but didn't]".

"She was the most outgoing, kind and generous person", her family said.

"She said, 'Oh mum!"

"I call on all those who have news of #Xavier #Thomas who is missing", she posted.

"But horror, absolute horror, " she said.
