Kamala Harris is (again) interrupted while pressing a Senate witness

Powers: "I think she asked a lot of questions". Kamala Harris. Despite being the only Black woman in the Senate and one of very few female senators - both tremendous accomplishments - she was still treated in a substandard manner.

By the time the dust settled, Sessions had told Harris that her style of questioning made him "nervous".

This was the second hearing in as many weeks where Burr had interrupted Harris. The craze started in Europe, where tens of thousands of people, mostly women, were killed. In Washington D.C. the phrase "I do not recall", can get you out of pretty much anything, so there was never going to be a Matlock moment where Sessions confessed to massaging Russian Ambassador Sergey Ivanovich Kislyak's thigh under the table at the Republican National Convention, or whatever.

"Senators will allow the chairs to control the hearing" Burr said to McCain. John McCain, Republican of Arizona.

Previously a federal prosecutor, Harris is knowledgeable in tactics of witnesses (and criminals) in an attempt to delay proceedings, by delaying their answers to questions, or potentially not answering questions at all.

Specifically, Harris is from Berkeley and came of age during a time (roughly the late 1960s through the "80s) when all manner of social upheaval was the order of the day".

The Texan developer's last game, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze , launched in 2014 and the team has been silent ever since. We also got to see a more in-depth trailer today for Super Mario Odyssey that was equally interesting and odd.

Members of the committee should "provide the witnesses the courtesy, which has not been extended, fully across, for questions to get answered", Burr said, criticizing Sen. Last week, the ranking Democrat on the House intelligence committee, Rep. Adam Schiff of California, said the committee would ask Johnson to testify about interactions former President Barack Obama's administration had with secretaries of state and local election officials about the dangers the Russian hacking posed to election systems.

"Senator, I'm very sensitive about time and I'd like to have a very lengthy conversation and explain that all to you", Rosenstein responded.

"Sir, I am not asking you about the principle", Harris interjected.

At one point, Sessions said he was "not able to be rushed this fast".

And certainly these Senate committee hearings have stressed to me how important it is that we continue to make our voices heard.

But on CNN that evening, former Donald Trump campaign spokesman-turned-pundit Jason Miller had another word to describe Harris' behavior: "hysterical".

Feinman, a graduate of Columbia University and University of Minnesota Law School, is a member of the Richard C. Failla LGBT Commission, and was the president of the International Association of LGBT Judges from 2008-2011.

The laughable "objectivity" of a white, male, conservative Trump supporter notwithstanding, the segment grew increasingly tense as analyst Kirsten Powers - one of two women on the seven-person panel - challenged Miller on the sexist undertones of his "hysteria" allegations.

"How was Senator Harris hysterical?"

Co-host Joe Scarborough brought up the subject, saying,"Mika, another interesting thing that happened, and I have a feeling that you may want to talk about this because you talked about it before, but the junior senator from California, Senator Harris, once again called out by men on the committee because they thought that she was too assertive".

Harris asked if the policy was written down, to which Sessions gave no clear answer but instead explained the "principle" of it.

Eventually, as is usually the case, the drama moved from the hearing room to the Internet. Harris has broken a cycle that has long stood in D.C. Previously, members on The Hill were nearly always old, White, and male.
