The Muslim Council said Monday's attack was the most violent manifestation of Islamophobia in Britain in recent months and called for extra security at places of worship.

The investigation into the circumstances of the incident in Seven Sisters Road in Finsbury Park is ongoing. "He did what he did deliberately to hit and kill as many Muslims as possible, so he is a terrorist".

"So he came back to the main road and I managed to get him to the ground and me and some other guys managed to hold him until the police arrived, for about 20 minutes I think, until the police arrived".
