Airbus cites cost savings on new A380plus

"The A380plus is an efficient way to offer even better economics and improved operational performance at the same time", said John Leahy, Airbus's COO of customers. However, today Airbus has reassured the world that the A380 will continue to live on with the introduction of the brand new Airbus A380plus.

The new winglets measure approximately 4.7 metres in height (an uplet of 3.5 metres, and a downlet of 1.2 metres).

These aerodynamic improvements would reduce the airliner's fuel consumption by up to 4%. Airbus Commercial Aircraft President Fabrice Bregier said earlier this month that there was clearly "no business case" for the more extensive changes that would have involved.

Money laundering case: CBI reaches Satyendra Jain's residence
Media Advisor to Sisodia, Arunoday Prakash has accused the central government of trying to silence dissenters. Jain holds several portfolios in the Arvind Kejriwal government.

The maximum take-off weight of the A380plus has been increased to 578 t. This increase in the takeoff weight will allow the flexibility of carrying up to 80 more passengers or flying 300 nautical miles (nm) further.

Thanks to an innovative seating concept developed by Airbus and its seating partners, Airbus is able to maintain an 18inch seat-width while offering airlines an 11-abreast Economy Class on the main-deck in a "3-5-3" configuration.

The provisionally dubbed A380-Plus makeover would add 40-50 seats to increase the standard interior's capacity to more than 600 seats which would help airlines reduce their costs per passenger.

Steve Scalise upgraded from 'critical' to 'serious' condition
He says the country is praying for all of the victims who are still recovering. "Their sacrifice makes democracy possible". The gunman in the early morning attack at the ballpark in Alexandria, Virginia, was identified as 66-year-old James T.

The A380 is also known for its convenient side wall storage compartments that it has on the upper deck. The new square staircase design will also be incorporated in the aft-galley, replacing the current spiral stairs. Added to an optimised A380 maintenance programme and the enhanced cabin features first shown at Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in April, the overall benefit is a 13% cost per seat reduction versus today's A380, the European manufacturer said.

The update was submitted the day before the opening of the Paris air show in Le Bourget.
