A van slammed into Muslim worshippers near a mosque in north London early this morning, killing at least one and injuring 10, British police and Islamic officials said.

The incident occurred in North London outside of the Muslim Welfare House, which is located near the Finsbury Park Mosque. He's "been taken to hospital as a precaution", where he'll receive a mental health assessment, according to the statement.

British police said they were called to a "major incident" in London's Finsbury Park area in the early hours of Monday morning.
