Macron's party wins clear parliamentary majority in France polls

As of late Sunday evening there were 156 women lawmakers elected to France's National Assembly, already more than ever before, and with 148 seats as yet undecided.

The winning margin was lower than was forecast during the past week, when some estimates suggested REM and its allies could secure as many as 470 seats.
