Man arrested as van hits mosque crowd

Days after the Westminster bridge attack, a van rammed into pedestrians near a mosque in north London, injuring several people on Monday.

Authorities have yet to provide details about the incident but social media posts said a white male deliberately drove his vehicle into pedestrians.

A man was arrested in the immediate aftermath as bystanders told of tackling him to the ground and dragging him to cops.

The van driver, 48, will be subject to a mental health assessment.

- Investigation of the incident is being carried out by the Counter Terrorism Command. They must be somewhere around Finsbury Park.

When and where did it happen?

It is an area of north London with the tube station on both the Piccadilly and Victoria lines - whilst it is relatively far north it is just a 15 minute journey into Oxford Circus on the underground.

Afghan soldier kills to US soldiers
It's the second time this year that an incident involving an Afghan soldier has resulted in the deaths of Americans. The incident occurred as USA and Afghan forces returned from a joint operation, the Afghan source said.

Transportation officials said roads were being closed in the area.

There are two mosques nearby.

Unconfirmed reports and statements from eyewitnesses also claimed that one of the men in the van came out and stabbed at least one man. MET said there are no reports yet of any persons suffering from knife injuries so far. According to Metropolitan police, the injured were taken to three different hospitals.

"We are working closely with other members of the emergency services at the scene", said Bate.

The driver of the van screamed, "I'm going to kill all Muslims" before being tackled to the ground by bystanders, witness Abdulrahman Saleh Alamoudi told BuzzFeed News.

Witnesses said the road was "backed up" with police cars, ambulance and fire engines.

People had been attending mosques in the area as part of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

He has been among the top three best players in the league for years, and nothing he did in the final should surprise us. That sparked Golden State's push to sign Durant, who chose to leave his original team, the Oklahoma City Thunder .

An eyewitness told the BBC how he jumped out the way of the van as it struck. A man, believed to be the driver of the vehicle, has been arrested, they said.

If it is confirmed as an attack, it would appear to be one in which anti-Muslim operators adopt the tactics of Islamist terrorists.

British Prime Minister Theresa May has described it as a "terrible incident". British police described the incident as a major incident. The London Ambulance Service said the injured were being taken to hospitals.

The crash occurred near the Finsbury Park mosque.

"I've been in touch with the mosques, police and Islington council regarding the incident". "My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected".

The Muslim Council tweeted that worshippers were struck by a van as they were leaving prayers near the Finsbury Park mosque.
