The FBI Probe Expands to Trump Personally

After all, Trump fired him from his role as FBI Director on May 9, a little less than four years into his 10-year term.

The White House has denied any collusion, and Trump has repeatedly complained about the probe, saying Democrats can not accept his election win.

Dianne Feinstein, top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, said she was "increasingly concerned" that Trump will fire both Mueller and Rosenstein. Trump confirmed in a tweet Friday he was under investigation and appeared to take aim at Rosenstein, calling the investigation a "witch hunt". Fifty-eight percent of Democrats said Comey hurt Trump, while 28 percent of Republicans shared the same opinion. If President Trump and his campaign did not collude with Russian Federation, he and his administration should be welcoming the investigation to put any false accusations to rest.

Attorney Steve Ryan says Friday that Michael Cohen plans on cooperating "in all governmental inquiries".

Theresa May rejects calls to resign after stunning loss
Labour under him polled 40 per cent of the vote, the highest for the party since 1970, and only slightly behind Ms May's Tories. On Friday, May was expected to appoint a team that will take on one of the most demanding negotiations in British history.

Cohen has worked for Trump since the mid-2000s and was active in the campaign. He has already been subpoenaed by the House intelligence committee. He heads the McDermott, Will and Emery firm's government strategies practice.

The Post report cited anonymous sources who were briefed on requests made by investigators. "Sad!" the president tweeted Friday.

Coats will also meet with members of the Senate intelligence committee Thursday, one week after his tense grilling by the panel, according to a committee source.

Comey testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee last week and described writing the memos as well as their contents. At the end of May, the chief of the Justice Department's Fraud Section, Andrew Weissman, also joined the team, NPR's Carrie Johnson reported at the time. That's particularly the case since other high-ranking administration officials have declined under oath in open testimony to provide more details about whether Trump asked them in any way to influence Comey or the investigation.

Dead, missing toll in London fire rises to 79, police say
Numerous families that were affected lost more than one relative, said Mr Cundy, adding that his "heart went out to them". A minutes silence is due to be held across the United Kingdom at 11 am this morning to remember the victims of the fire.

Trump could be seething and obsessing even more in the coming days.

Comey said he believed Trump was trying to get him to drop an investigation of the president's former national security adviser, and that White House officials spread "lies, plain and simple" to cover up the reason for his dismissal. It wasn't clear whether he was basing his tweet on direct knowledge or on media reports.

While he was strongly critical of some of Comey's testimony to a Senate panel, the president said last week that the former Federal Bureau of Investigation chief had vindicated him when he said that while he was at the agency, Trump was not the subject of the FBI's Russian Federation probe. Trump conceded in an interview after the episode that he was thinking about the Russian Federation controversy when he made that decision. He said he and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein had long discussed their concerns with Comey's job performance. Comey said he took this "hope", coming from the president of the United States, as a direction. An hour later he claimed: "You are witnessing the single greatest WITCH HUNT in American political history - led by some very bad and conflicted people!"

If that is the case, it could be part of what appears to be a pattern of statements that are meant to back the president.
