News Channel send Sketch artist to WH press briefing

Media critic Brian Stelter tweeted a picture of artist Bill Hennessy's rendering of Friday's briefing.

At Friday's briefing, Spicer was asked about allowing cameras. Since cameras are not permitted inside the White House Press room, they chose to cover the briefing in the same way as they would a court case in which cameras are forbidden.

The White House might have banned cameras from its latest press briefings, but no one said anything about sketch artists. He has covered a wide range of cases, including the Clinton impeachment proceedings, terror suspect trials, and Guantanamo Bay detainee hearings.

Floyd Mayweather, Conor McGregor Fight Is Really Happening
On the heavily favoured Mayweather fighting McGregor, who's never boxed before, White was confident in 'his guy'. Mayweather weighed 146 pounds for his last fight against Manny Pacquiao in 2015.

In a hush-hush memo sent out to members of the White House press corp the night before, those planning to attend Thursday's press briefing were told not to bother bringing anything more than a pen and paper.

"We have urged the White House not to replace on-camera briefings with 'gaggles, ' not-for-broadcast question-and-answer sessions", Mason wrote.

Sketching Spicer would seem to represent another effort to highlight the unusual nature of the White House press shop's recent recalcitrance.

Chicago Bulls: Complete 2017 NBA Draft results
Although it hurts to see a star like Jimmy Butler go, I can't say I'm not interested to see how this rebuild goes for Chicago. Fultz led the Pac-12 in scoring, finished No. 6 among all Division I players, and was the top freshman scorer in the country.

After giving a no camera interview, Spicer did get in front of the camera for a special interview with Donald Trump's favourite news channel, Fox News.

Sure enough, Spicer's on-camera briefings have become more scarce - Tuesday's was his first in eight days, following previous day's off-camera/no-audio gaggle.

He also added that the White House is looking forward to next week's anticipated vote on the law. I think it's great for us to come out here and have a substantive discussion about policies. I think the Senate has taken a remarkably positive step forward.
