Teen hurt after dropping from ride at Six Flags

USA Today has reported that a 47-year-old, one of the assembled crowd who caught the teenager, also had to go to the hospital, due to a back injury.

A crowd of people gathered beneath the girl as she was dangling on the stopped ride.

The girl was treated by park emergency medical personnel and then transported to the Glens Falls Hospital.

At the same time, a man reportedly climbed a nearby tree to move some branches out of the girl's drop. She sustained no serious injuries.

The incident happened on a gondola Sky Ride at the Six Flags Great Amusement Park in NY.

I don't know how in the hell this girl ended up hanging off a ride at Six Flags but it happened, and of course it was caught on film.

"No one wants to put himself underneath a body like that, but I couldn't stand by and watch".

Another person was injured as he was trying to help catch the girl.

The teenager was on the ride with a child relative when she fell from the two-person auto, the Warren County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

The girl was then rushed to Albany Medical Center in stable condition with no serious injuries, the Warren County Sheriff's Office said.

All of its safety equipment was in tact and working properly when police arrived at the scene.
