Oil production from Iraq and Saudi Arabia will remain subdued until the markets reach a target level that indicates a balanced market, leaders said.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed enhancing bilateral ties between the kingdom and Iraq during a meeting with visiting Iraqi Oil Minister Jabbar al-Allaib on Wednesday evening in Jeddah, the Al Arabiya TV reported.

Saudi Arabia and Iraq vowed to implement the oil producers' output cut deal reached in the Austrian capital of Vienna, local media reported Thursday.

Senate President sacks 98 personal aides
The exact number of those affected was not disclosed as Olaniyonu asked to be given time to establish the figure. President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki on Thursday, August 10, 2017, sacked 98 of his legislative aides .

The talks focused on "the need to intensify efforts to urge all parties to strengthen their commitment to the agreement to reduce production, to maintain the balance of global energy markets".

The agreement was also supported by 11 non-OPEC states, which promised to jointly reduce oil output by 558,000 barrels per day.

July output from OPEC nations hit 32.87 million barrels per day, up from June's 32.69 million. Total OPEC production was about a half percent higher in July than in June. That comes even as commercial OECD stocks declined in the same month by 21.9 million barrels.

Senate rejects gay marriage plebiscite
The Senator made it clear Labor would be opposing the motion to hold a plebiscite and has urged all senators to do the same. But if the public voted overwhelmingly to legalise gay marriage, Mr Abbott said he would respect the result.

While both Libya and Nigeria were exempted from the production cuts, Saudi Arabia was the motor behind the effort in May to extend the limits and is OPEC's largest producer by far.

Decisions at the meeting, attended by Russian Federation and Saudi Arabia, will "help facilitate full conformity" with production cuts, it said.
