Following a string of low scores, Yuvraj Singh was on Sunday dropped from the India squad for the upcoming five-match one-day global series and one-off T20I against Sri Lanka, starting August 20. Fast bowlers Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav have also been left out, presumably rested.

RohitSharma, who was rested for the West Indies series, returns and will be the vice-captain of the side. Dinesh Karthik will feel himeself unlucky for missing out despite a good series in West Indies. Manish Pandey, who had a great triangular series in South Africa has been rewarded for his performance.
