Wenger cagey over £80m Alexis link; admits Arsenal will make player sales

Arsenal plays Leicester at home on Friday in the opening game of the league season.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger refused to confirm if PSG had launched a fresh offer for Alexis Sanchez - but admits players will leave the club this summer.

Sanchez is out of contract at the end of 2017-18 and has been linked with French giants Paris Saint-Germain and Premier League rivals Manchester City, but Arsenal insist the 28-year-old will not be sold. Sanchez joined the team late this summer, following an extended tour of duty with Chile in the Confederations Cup.

"As security personnel tried to zero in on the houses damaged in the gunfight, militants opened fire again", said a policeman. Itoo was held responsible for instigating the violence in the Valley after the killing of militant Burhan Wani past year .

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez will miss at least two weeks with an abdominal strain picked up before last weekend's Community Shield victory over Chelsea.

"He had a scan two days ago and he's out for a while - I don't know; two weeks or one more week?"

"I felt that to lose tonight would have been awful for us because we had such good preparation and to sit there in the morning and think we had lost at home would have been bad", he said.

Separate early morning crashes kill three
The man, identified as Michael Butler, of Winterport, was reportedly deceased when deputies reached the scene. Three people were killed in two crashes early Saturday in neighboring Waldo County towns, authorities said.

The story says that Sanchez has made it clear that he would only consider an offer of more than £300,000 a week and it still remains to be seen whether he is interested in signing a new deal with the north London side.

"It is a relief and I believe as well a reminder to the players that they have hurdles on the way and that we can get round it, like tonight so that is quite positive". Mesut Ozil , Aaron Ramsey and Shkodran Mustafi are all doubts for the league curtain raiser as well.

Arsenal have offered Alexis Sanchez a new contract worth £300,000 a week, according to reports in the British media.
