Cory Gardner is meeting with voters along the Front Range on Tuesday, in the first face-to-face town halls open to the public this year.

Many attending Tuesday's town halls looked for Gardner to answer questions regarding what's next for affordable health care.

In Greeley, the crowd was relatively quiet and patient in line - there were no outbursts, clashes, yelling or large signs - but one topic seemed to be on the minds of everyone, be they liberal or conservative: health care.

CORY GARDNER TOWN HALL

Gardner was slated to conduct another town hall event in Lakewood this afternoon.

Conservatives expressed disappointment in Gardner and other Washington Republicans to fulfill their party's "repeal and replace" promise.

Gardner voted with most fellow Republicans on a partial repeal of the Affordable Care Act that eventually failed in the Senate. "The only thing I've heard is that he disagrees with Trump".

He was the second defensive end in as many days to be carted off the field after Derek Wolfe suffered a sprained ankle on Saturday.

People will be allowed into the town-hall venue on a "first-come, first-in" basis, according to Oversole. "The goal is to maker sure we are helping more people". "He's not representing us very well".

Gardner took the stage in the auditorium at 12 p.m.

"The University was only asked to provide space for the town hall event, itself", said CCU Director of Communications Lance J. Oversole via email to the Colorado Times Recorder.

It's the last in a series the senator is holding across the state Tuesday. Doors open for the town hall in Lakewood at 3 p.m. Voters are encouraged to get there early to guarantee a spot.
