In a tragic incident for cricket fraternity, a Pakistani young player Zubir Ahmed has lost his life after a bouncer ball hit his head during a club match in Mardan, the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) expressed their grief on their official Twitter handle, reminding players the importance of wearing the safety gear. "Our sympathies with Zubair's family", the PCB tweeted.

The tweet indicates that Zubair was not wearing a helmet at the time the bouncer struck him - a grim reminder of the dangers of playing the game without protective gear.
