Henry told the Boston Herald he's ready to lead the charge for renaming Yawkey Way, the famous street outside Fenway Park, as a renewed light is placed on monuments and their inspirations around the country.

The public Jersey Street extension outside of Fenway Park, named after Henry's predecessor Yawkey, has always been a point of contention for many people.

The Red Sox held a 5 1/2 game lead on the Yankees after Boston's 3-2 win Sunday.

Adding to the moment was that the Red Sox were honoring the 1967 "Impossible Dream" team that won the American League and took the St. Louis Cardinals to seven games in the World Series.

Yawkey Way, the street just outside Fenway Park, was named for the man who was the team's owner from 1933 to 1976. The Red Sox were the last team in Major League Baseball to bring on a black player.

Still, the Yawkeys are fondly remembered by many in Boston, as well as front-office employees dating back from the Yawkey era.

The photographer in question was later outed as Tony Capobianco by Red Sox reporter Chris Mason in a humorous tweet which included a bird's eye view of the offending pitch.

That might not be too hard - there are only two abutters on Yawkey Way, and the other one is receptive to the viewpoint of Henry and the Red Sox.

The surging Red Sox turned their first triple play in six years in the series opener, breaking the game open with an eight-run fifth inning in the 10-4 victory to improve to 11-2 in their last 13 games. The Red Sox scored five runs in his four losses. The owner also appeared to reference President Donald Trump, albeit not by name, as a reason to seek the change now.

But Henry just can't snap his fingers and make the change - the city of Boston will need to make the change after an official petition from the Red Sox and the one other abutter of the road. "The Yawkey Foundation has done a lot of great things over the years that have nothing to do with our history", he said, according to the paper.

The other question is what it could be changed to, if that change is allowed. So even though the Red Sox do not have the authority to change the street's name, its days as Yawkey Way could be numbered. There are a number of buildings and institutions that bear the same name.
