The soldiers were taken to the base's Womack Army Medical Center for treatment, Lt. Col. Rob Bockholt, a spokesman for the U.S. Army's Special Operations Command, told the Associated Press. The incident comes a day after a US soldier was killed at Fort Hood, Texas, while conducting a medical evacuation hoist training in an HH-60M Black Hawk helicopter. However, the spokesman was unable to confirm whether an explosion was the cause of the reported injuries. The soldier was killed in an incident involving a Black Hawk helicopter during medical evacuation training.

The incident comes a day after an amphibious assault vehicle carrying 15 Marines burst into flames during a Combat Readiness Evaluation exercise at Camp Pendleton in California.

Eight of them were treated in the burn unit, with five still in critical condition. Today Fort Bragg and neighboring Pope Air Force Base form one of the largest military complexes in the world.
