Trump Signed a Resolution Condemning White Supremacists

On Thursday night, September 14, Trump signed the resolution, but if his signature was meant to make a statement, it only served to further contradict himself.

The president said in a statement announcing the signing that, "As Americans, we condemn the recent violence in Charlottesville and oppose hatred, bigotry, and racism in all forms". "No matter the color of our skin or our ethnic heritage, we all live under the same laws, we all salute the same great flag, and we are all made by the same almighty God".

The president's remarks aboard Air Force One late Thursday addressed a meeting he had a day earlier with Sen.

The one caveat to this is that if you've shown interest in watching the video, Chrome will unmute it and it'll automatically play. Google announced in a blog post on Thursday that its Chrome browser will get autoplay blocking features starting January 2018.

The president said after the meeting that he was correct to condemn violence from both sides. "And essentially that's what I said". The resolution singles out "white nationalists, white supremacists, the Ku Klux Klan, neo-Nazis, and other hate groups" for opprobrium.

In the aftermath of violence in Charlottesville, Donald Trump created an worldwide firestorm by arguing that "both sides" - racist protesters and anti-racism protesters - bore equal responsibility for what transpired, adding that there were many "fine people" among the bigots.

A statement from Scott's office said the Antifa movement should be condemned but argued there is no realistic comparison with white supremacists.

Wallace was referring to the death of Heather Heyer, a 32-year-old woman who was killed when James Fields Jr., 20, allegedly plowed his vehicle into a crowd of counter-protesters gathered in Charlottesville. Scott was invited to the White House on Wednesday to discuss Trump's Charlottesville response as well as issues impacting minority communities. Tim Scott, who is now the only black Republican senator.

While urging Trump to "speak out against the hate groups that espouse racism, extremism, xenophobia, anti-Semitism, and White supremacy", the resolution also honored an anti-racism protester, who was killed after a neo-Nazi sympathizer intentionally drove a auto into a crowd on August 12 in downtown Charlottesville, a historic college town.

Trump seemed pleased by his discussion with Scott, but not convinced.

Tillerson calls for an end to 'horrors' in Myanmar
Activists say more than 100 villagers, women and children among them, have been killed by security forces. And so we appreciate the hard and complex situation Aung San Suu Kyi finds herself in.

Trump added that many people believed that he had a point when he said that there were "bad people" on the other side of the protests. We are a Nation founded on the truth that all of us are created equal. He called on Americans to move forward "as one people" and "to rediscover the bonds of love and loyalty that bring us together as Americans".
