Both the primary checkout system of Whole Foods Market stores, as well as the systems of parent company Amazon, were said to have been unaffected. Whole Foods did not specify when the breach occurred or how many customers are affected. "The Amazon.com systems do not connect to these systems at Whole Foods Market", it says.

Whole Foods is now investigating some recent unauthorized credit card transactions made at in-store locations, CBS News reports.

The hack affected Whole Foods' taprooms and restaurants, not stores' primary checkout lines, the company announced in a statement.
