"We've known for some time this would be Pauley's final season on NCIS and have been working toward a special send-off", NCIS executive producers George Schenck and Frank Cardea confirmed in a statement. Actress Pauley Perrette announced that she was leaving the hit series. Variety reports Pauley Perrette is leaving the CBS TV show after 15 seasons. There were all sorts of false rumors about the reason for my departure (no I don't have a line of skin care, and not the string, and the series are not angry with me!). It's been a successful franchise for CBS, inspiring spinoffs NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans. All this love, all this laughter, all this inspiration... The actress, one of the show's remaining original cast members, has played the quirky forensic scientist on the long-running crime drama since it debuted in 2003.

While in recent years NCIS has said goodbye to its fair share of stars including Cote de Pablo in Season 11 and original star Michael Weatherly after Season 13, Perrette's departure from the show is sure to be felt the most as there's really no replacing her lovable and quirky character who has always been a fan-favorite. "I love it as much as you ".
