Microsoft reveals the future of Windows Mixed Reality

You need a Windows Mixed Reality headset to try it. "Mixed reality offers a plethora of fun and engaging content that is continually evolving".

Samsung is committed to working across platforms to build cutting-edge technology, and we're excited to partner with Microsoft to shape the future of virtual reality - said Alanna Cotton, the VP and General Manager for Samsung Electronics America, in a statement. Microsoft hasn't disclosed plans for a new version.

PC makers Dell, HP, Acer and Lenovo also will be making VR headsets created to work with Windows 10 machines.

Ford to stake future on trucks and electrification
Ford also reaffirmed 2017 financial guidance it gave in July and said it would provide a new 2018 forecast in January. GM, for instance, just announced that it'll have 20 electric vehicle models by 2023.

The Windows Mixed Reality event by Microsoft on October 3 saw the debut of Samsung's biggest foray into the virtual reality market yet, in the #HMD Odyssey headset.

A compelling case for the Windows ecosystem, Kipman checked the weather in WMR using the same app that can also be used on PC, HoloLens, Xbox and tablet. Thanks to their inclusion, the Odyssey should work with most SteamVR games when support rolls out later this year. The platform focuses entirely on VR experiences in the social media sector, bringing people together for dance parties, comedy shows, and meetups. Rather, it is an "experience" that gives users a taste of the Halo universe. Hopefully, 343 Industries is not presenting this reveal as the final product of Halo: Recruit, and there will be something better at the official Halo: Recruit reveal on October 17.

Samsung's HMD Odyssey will cost $500 and begin shipping early next month.

French MPs adopt tough anti-terror law
A mobile phone attached to the cylinders is being investigated as a possible detonator, a security source told AFP. The Senate, France's upper house of parliament, approved it in July after some amendments.

The five-minute Halo: Recruit experience features some of Halo's "most iconic characters", which is no doubt a reference to Master Chief and Cortana, at least.

Wolfkill also teased that more Halo mixed-reality experiences could come to be, though none have been officially announced as of yet. Shipped together with a pair of WMR Motion Controllers, the headset can be obtained in United States at Dollars 499 (about RM 2,110) this coming November although it is not known at the moment whether Samsung is willing to release the headset in Malaysia or otherwise.

Now that we have that out of the way, here's what's Samsung Odyssey offers.
