House panel to publicly release Russia Facebook ads

Microsoft joins the search for Russian backed Ads

Sheryl Sandberg on Thursday confirmed reports that the House Intelligence Committee will be publicizing thousands of Facebook ads linked to Russian Federation that appeared during the 2016 election.

Meanwhile, Congress has started multiple investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 election, with lawmakers on both sides saying Russia meant to sow discord in the U.S., spread propaganda and sway the election to elect Donald Trump.

Twitter and Facebook have said Russian Federation bought ads and had accounts on their platforms.

Sandberg said she supported the public release of those ads, and the pages to which they were connected.

"We've asked for Facebook's help to scrub any personally identifiable information, but it's our hope that when that concludes we can release them publicly", Schiff said. According to lawmakers and researchers, the company employs hundreds of "trolls" to post fake or discredited content from phony social media accounts posing as USA or European citizens.

"Things happened on our platform in this election that should not have happened, especially troubling foreign interference in a democratic election", Sandberg said.

So, I think he will be able to handle it quite nicely. "As a student I can say his mentoring has been a boon". He was also the chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification and the National School of Drama.

For her part, Sandberg's meeting with panel leaders is part of a full-court blitz of Washington, D.C. this week.

In addition to Facebook, Alphabet's GOOGL.O Google and Twitter TWTR.N have recently detected that suspected Russian operatives used their platforms previous year to purchase ads and post content that was politically divisive.

Officials from Facebook and the committee did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Sandberg was also asked about female leadership in the workplace, to which she said, "The world is still run by men".

Sandberg acknowledged that the company had erred in how it handled the issue of foreign interference past year. Facebook, she said, does owe America an apology.

"We don't want this kind of foreign interference" on Facebook, Sandberg added.

Florida claims it will play faster vs. Texas A&M
Florida (3-2) is coming off a home loss to LSU while A&M fell 27-19 at home to No. 1 Alabama to drop to 4-2 on the year. Florida will wear a sublimated base-layer top in royal blue with a tonal gator print extending onto the sleeves.

"The thing about free expression is that when you allow free expression, you allow free expression", Sandberg said.

Moreover, Sandberg said she disagreed with Twitter's initial decision to take down Congressional candidate Marsha Blackburn's campaign ad because it included "an inflammatory statement that is likely to evoke a strong negative reaction".

One member of Congress who viewed the ads said that of about 70 that person had viewed, all of them had racial themes.

"When these bad actors are trying to cause harm, they don't just go on our platform - they go on others", Facebook's Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg told Axios on Thursday.

Representatives from Facebook, Google and Twitter are expected to testify about Russian influence at hearings before the Senate and House intelligence committees on November 1.

Though we wouldn't object to a Game Boy Classic Mini at all, there are some limitations to it. Now the Japanese giant has apparently trademarked the design of the 1989 Game Boy handheld.
