Police: Suicide Attempt by Boy Jumping From Overpass Kills Driver Below

A Maryland woman is dead after a 12-year-old boy jumped from an overpass in Virginia, in an alleged attempt to end his own life. Her boyfriend, who was in the front passenger seat and uninjured, took control of the Ford Escape and steered it to safety.

Police transported the unidentified12-year-old to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. His identity has not been released.
