Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos said the estimated value of the seized cocaine is $360 million US dollars.

The stash apparently belonged to the "Gulf Clan", also known as the Gaitanista Self-Defence Forces of Colombia (AGC).

Four hundred anti-narcotics officers seized the cocaine in four simultaneous operations at Colombian farms where the drugs were buried underground and covered with banana leaves. Coca is used to make cocaine.

The police revealed that the packages would break down into 11 million hits of one gram each which would equate to $660 million at an average street price of around $60 per gram.
