Parliament to vote on Brexit deal

EU chief negotiator Michel Barnier has said Britain must make a fresh offer on money within a fortnight

EU chief negotiator Michel Barnier has said Britain must make a fresh offer on money within a fortnight

"This agreement will only hold if Parliament approves it".

Parliamentary committees will begin scrutinising the Withdrawal Bill on Thursday.

Davis's move was seen as an attempted concession to Conservative rebels who may defy the government this week by voting against separate Brexit legislation transferring existing European Union laws to Britain. They raised concerns that if politicians voted down the deal, Britain would simply crash out of the European Union anyway.

Davis said: "We have always said we will do whatever is necessary to prepare for our exit, including bringing forward further legislation, and that is exactly what we are doing".

He went on: "This confirms that the major policy set out in the withdrawal agreement will be directly implemented into United Kingdom law by primary legislation, not by secondary legislation with the Withdrawal Bill".

MP's will be facing eight days in the committee starting on Tuesday, where they will spend eight hours a day debating each of the proposed amendments.

Apple claims the chances of a random stranger being able to unlock an iPhone X which does not belong to them are a million to one. They then put 2D printouts of the user's eyes, upper cheekbones and lips over the mask and added a silicone nose for realism.

Its introduction had been delayed as ministers held talks with Tory critics, and Mr Davis will hope that his concession will take the sting out of any potential rebellion.

The decision was described as a "significant climbdown from a weak government on the verge of defeat" by Shadow Brexit Secretary, Sir Keir Starmer.

However, critics pointed out that Parliament would not get a say if negotiations with Brussels ended in failure. Davis said it would be a meaningful vote but that it would not undo the process. "Totally worthless to parliament, essentially trying to buy off people", Chris Leslie, a member of the opposition Labour Party and a pro-EU campaigner, said.

"It's a transparent and fairly desperate attempt at the eleventh hour to save face and avoid losing votes in the House".

Heidi Allen, a Tory rebel, tweeted that a fresh Bill would be "pointless" if MPs also back Theresa May's plan to put the exact date and time of withdrawal in legislation.

Owen Paterson, a former Tory Cabinet minister and Eurosceptic, asked him: "If the House of Commons votes down the new Withdrawal Bill, will the outcome be we still leave on March 29, 2019 but without an agreement?"

The Steelers' secondary gave up touchdown passes of 60 and 61 yards against Indianapolis after Haden left the game. And Roethlisberger reverted to his traditional form on the Steelers' final possession. "That's what he does".

Why did they change their minds?

Ten Conservative MPs had signed an amendment insisting the promised "meaningful vote" had to take the form of standalone legislation, threatening the Government with possible defeat.

It had also been argued that withdrawal had to be enshrined in a separate Act to make it waterproof from legal challenge.

The government wants to set in law the day that Britain leaves the bloc, ruling out the possibility of seeking an extension to talks if more time is needed to reach a deal.

What if it was voted down?
