Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday said Padmavati will not be screened in Bihar till filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali clears his stand on the objections raised by people.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali will meet Parliamentary Panel today related to his upcoming Indian period drama movie titled "Padmavati".

The panel, which also looks into the issues of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, had called the meeting to discuss the problems and issues faced by the film.

"We are sure they (politicians) will be guided by the basic premise under the rule of law and not venture outside".

War criminal Slobodan Praljak 'dies after taking poison' in court
Judge Carmel Agius, who had urged the defendant to sit down, put a halt to the hearing as calls were made for an ambulance. It said Praljak "was transported to a nearby hospital to receive further medical assistance where he passed away".

Taking the controversy to a new low, a Karni Sena leader had threatened to chop off actor Deepika Padukone's nose as the latter reacted sharply to the ongoing controversy centred on the film recently.

Padmavati suffering from too many controversies now.

The film starring Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmavati, Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh as Sultan Alauddin Khilji were earlier scheduled to release on December 1. Among the questions, it is rumored that the panel will also be sharing opinions about movies based on historic figures and the extent to which a director or creator can be allowed to go to make his/her vision possible without hurting the sentiments of religious groups. The first application has been returned to the makers of the movie because there were no disclaimers.

Even though the CBFC has not yet issued a certificate to the film, and none of the objectors have, therefore, seen it, there have been widespread (and sometimes violent) protests across the country to oppose it. Their clock has been stopped now, and they are just waiting and waiting.

Las Vegas police are looking for a silver Chevrolet Cruze and asking for help identifying the vehicle with Nevada license plates. Las Vegas Metro has since issued a press release with two pictures of the robber taken from security camera footage.

Senior advocate Harish Salve, appearing for the producer, said there were no plans for a release overseas without CBFC clearance.

On the other hand, the supreme court had also taken a strong exception to the statement which has been made by the person holding the high offices which is against the movie. In view of this, our interference will tantamount to pre-judging the matter. "That will prejudice the decision of the CBFC", the judges said. "Why does controversy happen in his films?"

The court's remarks adopt implication with the chief ministers of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh banning the film.
