According to Fox Sports, if Stanton isn't dealt to either the Giants or the Cardinals over the next few days, the reason could be that the Dodgers have gotten involved in trade talks with the Marlins.

Stanton has a no-trade clause and must approve any trade he is a part of. In fact, previous suggestions were that the Giants themselves might be favored to land the slugger. In fact, America's heartland seems to be his last choice here. The Marlins have to wait for Stanton to inform them whether he would accept either trade. The Los Angeles Dodgers have also been linked with interest in Stanton.

'Jak and Daxter PS2 Classics' (PS4) Launches Next Week - Screens & Trailer
Well, you're in luck, because Sony has announced when they're bringing the rest of the Jak and Daxter series to PS4 . The games will carry a price tag of $14.99, similar to Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy .

As of Sunday, the Dodgers and Marlins were still in contact regarding Stanton, but have not made progress toward a deal, according to one source. As such, Stanton could indeed take as long as he pleases if he'd prefer to go to a team other than the two in play.

Giancarlo Stanton has control over where he is traded. The Dodgers are enamored with Stanton's power, but are concerned about the luxury-tax implications of trading for him.

Jerry Jones reflects on Eli Manning, recalls first game at AT&T Stadium
No, I really wouldn't take anything for it. "I told them they better not do anything to that signature, I like it there", Jones said.

It was believed the Marlins wouldn't have given either team clearance to speak with Stanton or his agency (Wasserman Group) if deals, or at least frameworks for deals, weren't in place.

The Giants have many holes to fill including the outfield, third base and the bullpen as they try to bounce back from an embarrassing 98-loss season.
