Pamela Anderson says Weinstein accusers 'knew what they were getting into'

Pamela Anderson is not backing down from comments she made about the Harvey Weinstein sexual misconduct scandal that were slammed as "victim blaming". Anderson is no stranger to being smeared over the media regarding the things she's said and done over the years and so knows how to handle it with grace and a poise that belies what she might really be feeling inside. Earlier this week, on 30 November, Anderson was interviewed by the Today show host Megyn Kelly where she spoke about the most talked-about subject in Hollywood - sexual harassment and especially Harvey Weinstein.

She wrote: 'Re- My interview on #todayshow #megynkelly. As for what type of self-protection, she says "There are a lot of self-protection courses". There is even a well-known story of suffragettes learning martial arts. Anderson claimed that as a victim of sexual assault at a young age, she learned to not put herself in certain situations. She added, "It is totally hypocritical to ignore this.[I] will not get coerced into apology". I'm endeavoring to tell ladies as a survivor of youth manhandle myself - It is critical to be proactive as a grown-up who knows better - in safeguarding themselves. "Just use common sense". That certain people or certain producers in Hollywood are people to avoid privately, ' she confessed.

I can tell you that from my experience of working on protectin - be it a protection of journalists and human rights defenders and internet security - there is ALWAYS a call and recommendation to see the issues in their complexity.

While speaking to Kelly, Anderson was asked if she was surprised at all by the complaints made against Weinstein. Backlash is good. - I like this'.
