The California Assembly plans to investigate a sexual misconduct allegation against Los Angeles Assemblyman Matt Dababneh, who has denied any inappropriate behavior.

Dababneh now represents California's 45th Assembly District, covering much of the San Fernando Valley in Southern California.

Pamela Lopez, a lobbyist, filed a complaint with the Assembly Rules Committee detailing her accusation, which she said occurred during a January 2016 party in Las Vegas attended by a variety of "political professionals".

Lopez detailed the encounter in a New York Times story last October, but did not name Dabeneh. When I turned around, I saw Matt Dababneh.
