Commissioner Roger Goodell was given a contract extension by the owners Wednesday afternoon.

The letter stated "nearly unanimous consensus among the ownership in favor of signing the contract extension now".

Quake rattles Delhi-NCR
Residents in Delhi and Noida said that they had felt strong tremors but there are no reports of damage yet. The epicentre was Rudraprayag in Uttarakhand, according to India Meteorological Department (IMD).

"We are pleased to report that there is a almost unanimous consensus among the ownership in favor of signing the contract extension now", the NFL's compensation committee said in a letter obtained by FOX Business. The Cowboys owner initially threatened to sue the NFL to block the deal, arguing that the league's compensation committee had misled owners about its terms.

"I'm happy that it's over". "We should have a real good airing out of some of the things that we've been reading about, and in the meantime I've been having a lot of conversations with a lot of owners". It was particularly gratifying to hear so many owners commit to being more engaged in League affairs and to express the desire to work more closely with the Commissioner and League staff on matters critical to the League. He's expected to make roughly $40 million per year with incentives.

John Cena, sued by Ford for selling this vehicle
Ford is suing American pro wrestler John Cena for selling his Ford GT sports-car too early and making a profit. Cena says that the auto was sold "along with other assets to liquidate for cash to take care of expenses".

The position has been a lucrative one for Goodell, who has earned more than $200 million since 2006, according to ESPN.

Prior to signing the extension, which was first reported by ProFootballTalk, his contract would have expired after the 2018 season.

Facebook debuts 'Messenger Kids' with parental supervision tools
The firm said it offered a more appropriate app, which parents could allow their children to use on tablets and smartphones. Even though it has all those things, Facebook is still getting a lot of flack for it, but FB says don't worry about it!

The contract ends weeks of hostilities during which Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones threatened to sue the National Football League and the six owners on the compensation committee. He later said he would not take the matter to court but told USA TODAY Sports' Jarrett Bell he wanted "accountability". The two sides had been working to close the deal since May, after the Compensation Committee unanimously voted on the extension. With Jones under the impression that the deal wouldn't be done before then, there's a good chance the other 31 owners could be dealing with an irate Jones by the time that meeting rolls around.
