It is down four percentage points from the first quarter in 2016, but still indicates "a respectable hiring pace for the upcoming months", Erica Melarangeli of ManpowerGroup's Kitchener office said in a news release. Net employment outlook for the employers in the services sector is projected to rise 27 percent, employers in finance sees increase of 15 percent, insurance 19 percent and manufacturing 20 percent.

The next most optimistic outlook was seen in Japan, at 24 percent, followed by India at 22 percent, next was the US with 19 percent and Costa Rica rounded out the top five at 18 percent. However, the greatest increases have been recorded in Queensland and Tasmania, both up eleven percentage points since this time past year.

The outlook is the strongest reported since the first quarter of 2009, improving over the quarter by 3 percentage points.

Nationally, employers in the Transportation & Public Utilities sector reporting the strongest job prospects.

The least optimistic are employers in the southwestern region, with a +6% NEO, up 2 percentage points on the quarter and by 9 percentage points on the year.

"The employment outlook in Australia is now the strongest reported in more than six years and is showing no signs of slowing down as a rebound in the Mining and Construction sector adds to an already strong outlook in other key sectors such as Finance", said Mr Fischer.

"With strong labour force participation and unemployment on a decline, New Zealand employers are facing increased wages pressure in 2018".

Shelter prices grew 0.2% from a month earlier, compared with a 0.3% rise in the previous two months. In the 12 months through November, the PPI rose 3.1% - the biggest increase since January 2012.

Taking seasonal variations into account, Hong Kong's net employment outlook stands at +16%. However, Christchurch employers have experienced a year-over-year improvement of three percentage points, while the Wellington Outlook remains relatively stable.

However, not all parts of the Australian economy have recorded such robust Outlooks or year-over-year gains.

Across the Asia Pacific region the strongest Outlooks are in Taiwan (+25%), Japan (+24%) and India (+22%).

The Outlook is less positive across Europe, the Middle East and Africa where most markets have recorded either declining expectations year-over-year or negligible gains.
