The Stratford Perth Museum announced on Thursday that "Justin Bieber: Steps to Stardom", featuring memoirs from the formative years of the Canadian pop star, is set to open on February 18.

The Stratford Beacon Herald reports that the museum's board of directors had previously considered putting together a Bieber exhibit in the past, but it took some time and requests from die-hard fans to get the wheels moving.

The exhibit's title was inspired by Bieber's early years busking on the steps of the local Avon Theatre as a kid.

Delhi fog: 14 trains cancelled, 34 flights delayed due to dense fog
Delhi today experienced the coldest day of the season with temperatures dropping as low as 5 degrees Celsius, the Met Office said. Disruptions in train and flight operations, however, continued.

We're told staff members involved with curating the exhibit are on their way to the Biebs' grandparents' home today to pick up the 50+ items to start physically organizing the display.

Among the items that are going to be on show are Bieber's Grammy Award, microphones, a hockey bag, and personal letters.

"I started to think about Justin Bieber and people like that", Kastner said. The museum's curators worked in conjunction with Bieber's grandparents Diane and Bruce Dale, who granted them access to a plethora of items from the singer's childhood and career. "That sort of stuck with me".

Before they knew it, the Bieber collection was bursting with potential objects about 125 of them that needed to be narrowed down to a manageable selection.

John Kastner, general manager of the Stratford Perth Museum, told City News Toronto that a Peter Van Loan, a Conservative MP and heritage critic, visited the musuem and was perplexed as to why there was no mention of Bieber, given the musician's ties to the city.

Organizers hope "Steps to Stardom" will have a similar appeal to Bieber's loyal fan base, but also draw more casual music fans.

Spotify's chief content officer is leaving ahead of its IPO
New York-based Blom's departure from Spotify was communicated via an internal note at the company earlier today (January 5). Spotify's big lead over Apple Music isn't a surprise because it has several years lead on Apple's streaming music service.

"You (must) tell this story if we're going to be relevant and we're going to be modern", Kastner said.
