FBI accuses white supremacist of terror attack on Amtrak train in rural Nebraska

Even the conductors were unsure what had happened.

'We lunged forward in our seats and all the power went out, it went completely black, ' Garris said. "We could smell something burning and I'm going to guess that was the brakes".

An Amtrack conductor called 911 around 2 a.m. on October 22, according an Federal Bureau of Investigation affidavit, after a passenger "breached a secure area of the train and triggered an emergency stop control panel". What he found was Taylor Wilson, 26, sitting at the engineer's seat in the train's follow engine.

The conductor and others subdued Wilson, then held him and waited for deputies. He forced the train headed from Sacramento to St. Louis to stop.

Jon Gruden to be named coach of Oakland Raiders
Other teams have also done it, with one of the most recent notable coaching hires being Joe Gibbs in Washington. This would not mark the first time the Raiders brought back a coach for a second stint.

After being arrested, Wilson was charged with felony criminal mischief and use of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony in Furnas County.

Another informant told agents that "Wilson has expressed an interest in "killing black people" and others besides whites, and they suspect Wilson was responsible for a road rage incident in April 2016 in St. Charles where a man pointed a gun at a black woman for no apparent reason while driving on Interstate 70".

Wilson's parents told investigators their son was using the Amtrak to return home from California so he could attend classes on October 23.

Wilson is now also facing a federal charge of terrorism attacks and other violence against railroad carriers and against mass transportation systems.

LeBron James hoping Cleveland Cavaliers can straighten themselves out
A deal with the Suns was ultimately never struck because Phoenix was unwilling to part with No.4 overall draft pick Josh Jackson. While Boston is reaping the benefits of the Irving trade, Cleveland has yet to do the same.

The court documents show the Federal Bureau of Investigation has evidence of Wilson's activities with white supremacist groups, including a business card for the National Socialist Movement in Detroit, a neo-Nazi group. That rally left one woman who was demonstrating against the white supremacists dead.

Wilson, who is believed to have attended the deadly far-right rally in Charlottesville in August, had reportedly joined a neo-Nazi group and had an interest in "killing black people."

Federal Bureau of Investigation agents searching Wilson's home found 15 guns, a handmade shield, tactical vest, 11 AR-15 rifle ammunition magazines, a drum magazine for a rifle, ammunition, white supremacy documents, gunpowder and ammunition-reloading supplies.

While he's had a history of drug use and mental problems, Wilson was deemed competent and released on bail after being hit with criminal mischief and weapons possession charges, but in recently-unsealed court documents, it was said that Wilson was hit with the terrorism charges at a hearing on December 28 after a federal investigation was completed.

The Missouri man, Taylor Michael Wilson, was said to have had a loaded.38 caliber handgun on his person (with ammunition), a knife, a hammer, and a respirator mask in his backpack.
