Arsenal's French manager Arsene Wenger has words with English referee Mike Dean during the English Premier League football match between West Bromwich Albion and Arsenal at The Hawthorns stadium in West Bromwich central England

Arsene Wenger has been hit with a three-match touchline after being charged by the FA for his behaviour in the referee's changing-room after the controversial draw at West Brom.

Following a regulatory commission hearing, the FA said Wenger "admitted that his language and behavior in the match officials' changing room. was abusive, improper and questioned the integrity of the match referee".

Wenger, 68, was seen remonstrating with referee Mike Dean on the sidelines of the game after the referee awarded West Brom a late penalty kick, which Jay Rodriguez scored, for a harsh handball decision against Callum Chambers in the box.

Wenger's outburst followed a 1-1 draw at West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.

And Wenger was swift to raise the stakes again after the draw with top-four rivals Chelsea, saying the penalty count against Arsenal was "not coincidence".

At his news conference earlier on Friday, the Arsenal boss said he served football with "honesty and integrity".

Arsenal conceded another late penalty against Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium as Eden Hazard went down following a challenge from Hector Bellerin.
