Fired Engineer Says Google Discriminated Based on His 'Male Gender,' 'Caucasian Race'

Engineers sue Google for allegedly discriminating against white men and conservatives

Engineers sue Google for allegedly discriminating against white men and conservatives

The suit claims Google protected employees who silenced conservatives: "Google created an environment of protecting employees who harassed individuals who spoke out against Google's view or the 'Googley way, ' as it is sometimes known internally".

Damore's fellow plaintiff in the class action is another Google employee, a former software engineer named David Gudeman.

"Damore, Gudeman, and other class members were ostracized, belittled, and punished for their heterodox political views, and for the added sin of their birth circumstances of being Caucasians and/or males", the lawsuit said.

What other action does Google face?

. That's when he wrote his now-infamous memo, called "Google's Ideological Echo Chamber".

HTC teases high-resolution Vive VR headset headed to CES 2018
HTC has announced an upgrade feature and functionality to their current existing marketplace called Viveport VR during CES 2018 . This option will be available in Q1 and a full package will be available later this year that will include new Vive controllers.

Google, a unit of Alphabet Inc based in Mountain View, California, said in a statement: "We look forward to defending against Mr Damore's lawsuit in court".

In the lawsuit, Mr Damore said the memo was meant to remain internal and had been written in response to a request for feedback from a diversity and inclusion summit he had attended.

He also blasted Google's efforts at diversity.

The lawsuit claims that Google is guilty of mistreating and terminating employees whose views deviated "from the majority view at Google on political subjects raised in the workplace".

AMD Introduces New Processors at CES
The Ryzen 3 2200G with Radeon Vega Graphics, on the other hand, packs 4 CPU cores and 4 threads, with a max boost clock of 3.7GHz. Because these new desktop APUs use a lot of the new features of the Pinnacle Ridge chips they require a new BIOS to work too.

Gudeman was sacked in December 2016 after a confrontation with a Muslim coworker on an internal Google forum, according to the lawsuit.

The suit claims white men were booed at company-wide meetings: "Not only was the numerical presence of women celebrated at Google exclusively due to their gender, but the presence of Caucasians and males was mocked with "boos" during company-wide weekly meetings".

The men are being represented by Harmeet K. Dhillon, the Republican National Committee's Comitteewoman for California. Back in August, Google CEO Sundar Pichai addressed the controversy, which questioned the biological ability of women workers in technology, directly in a memo to employees.

This isn't the only workplace suit Google is facing.

Oil retreats after hitting 2015 highs
Heating oil futures slumped after the report, but slowly recovered, and were down 0.5 percent to $2.0711 per gallon. Bank Wealth Management, which oversees $142 billion in assets, said by telephone.

The imbroglio at Google is the latest in a long string of incidents concerning gender bias and diversity in the tech enclave. Any managers whose workforce didn't include 50 percent women were publicly shamed-and so, according to Damore, were the white male employees hired in their place.
