Stephen Colbert believes that Donald Trump is a cartoon, and he's making one to prove it. The first trailer for it has just arrived and can be watched above!

While the late-night show finds comedy out of day-to-day news, "Our Cartoon President" seeks to develop characters of the president, his family and administration figures.

Stephen Colbert and Chris Licht, who's an executive producer on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, are bringing us a series all about the current happenings in the White House.

"We're not investing a lot of animation time into Rex Tillerson at this point", Colbert said.

Joey Barton is convinced Liverpool won't be able to sign Alexis Sanchez
However, Barton believes that the Chilean is far more likely to end up at Manchester City than Anfield. Manchester City are said to be confident of landing the Arsenal man for as little as £25 million.

"I love my country more than I love a good joke", added Colbert, noting that Trump's behavior offers plenty of fodder.

While cable news buzzes over "Fire and Fury", Michael Wolff's fly-on-the-wall look at the Trump White House, there is nothing in the tome that has surprised Stephen Colbert.

"There is nothing in the book that's not in our show - and we just guessed!"

The opening scene to each episode will be the last element animated, allowing the show to be more topical. Look out for the Trump Twitter rant after it airs... But he's also going to take shots at those in his administration, including White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Then he paused - a rare thing for him - and suggested, "In a pinch, Bannon could be back tomorrow if he becomes a viable character in Trump's world".

He went on to explain that as a comedian trading in Trump mockery he has a very particular role.

Exactly what he means is unclear. It's a patriotic duty thing.
