Ibuprofen may lead to male infertility

Scientists warn that ibuprofen could be wrecking men's fertility by making their balls shrivel up.

The study - conducted by a team of researchers in Denmark and France - was placebo-controlled and recruited 31 healthy white males between the ages 18 and 35 years.

The study shows that it has a negative impact on the testicles of young men, altering their sex hormone production and affecting their reproductive health.

"For men, it is important their testosterone level remains at a stable level".

Doctors in Copenhagen who led the study said that while the disorder was mild and temporary in the volunteers, they feared it could become permanent in long-term ibuprofen users.

Forbes , the other major tracker of the net worth of the world's richest, put Bezos' net worth at a mere $104.4 billion. He also passed Gates to become the richest person in the world in 2017: once in briefly in July and again in October.

The disorder normally occurs when the testes do not produce enough testosterone, so the body boosts production levels of the hormone.

Richard Quinton, MD, from Newcastle University in England and the Society for Endocrinology, says: "This is a landmark study that elegantly combines clinical and basic research, at both tissue and cellular levels, to show that ibuprofen, a common over-the-counter painkiller, can reversibly hinder testosterone production by testicular cells". The bad news is the ibuprofen is one of a large class of related drugs that includes aspirin, and the likelihood that other drugs will have similar effects is high.

A new study is suggesting a potential link between ibuprofen use and male infertility.

Participants were split into two groups, with 14 receiving 600mg of ibuprofen twice a day two weeks before and 30 days after an exercise session, and the other acting as a control.

"It is also associated with depression and increased risk for cardiovascular events, including heart failure and stroke". After 44 days, levels were even higher.

US citizens will always be allowed to enter the USA , but their phones could be held back, generally for no more than five days. It also makes clear that, if the traveler does not comply, USCBP may detain the electronic device for further examination.

The drugs are considered "anti-androgenic", which means they lower the amount of hormones present in males.

Several experts have reacted to the study findings.

The good news is that the problems required multiple weeks of constant ibuprofen use, so there's no indication that handling the odd muscle ache or hangover with ibuprofen will cause problems.

So researchers wanted to look into what happened in adult males who took ibuprofen, which had the strongest results in the earlier study. But researchers are concerned about long-term use among athletes.
