The 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards took place at The Beverly Hilton in California on Sunday night and Hollywood's anti-sexual harassment movement, now known as Time's Up, was well represented.

"Good evening ladies and remaining gentlemen", Meyers said to kick off his monologue.

The opening monologue at the Golden Globes can often be more interesting and entertaining than the awards themselves. Because, well, I've heard rumors that he's insane and hard to work with. It helped that numerous jokes involved adoring Oprah Winfrey, who was sitting in the front row with Stedman Graham, and Oprah makes everyone feel better.

Proving there is no love lost between the org and Weinstein, one male HFPA member told the Hollywood Reporter in an interview this week, "I feel sad now because I didn't punch him in his freaking face". However, with the arrival of the Time's Up and #MeToo campaigns in the recent past, the new New Year looks promising, said Seth Meyers.

Meyers then said Issa Rae, star and creator of Insecure, has three projects in development.

From his very first introduction, Meyers immediately addressed the elephant in the room - sexual harassment in Hollywood and the fallout that's been rocking the industry since the Harvey Weinstein scandal began.

And so toward the end of his Golden Globes monologue - which relied exclusively on punchlines instead of soft-shoeing his way through a song-and-dance number - Meyers brought "Jokes Seth Can't Tell" to the Golden Globes, setting up jokes and then handing off the punchlines to more fitting people out in the audience.

The Golden Globes blackout is a powerful statement of unity in Hollywood, and we can't wait to see it unfold tonight.

Luckily, Meyers has had plenty of experience walking a tricky tightrope as host of NBC's Late Night, where he has to grapple daily with an avalanche of political chaos.

"I hope he can do a Southern accent, because Kevin Spacey sure couldn't" Meyers continued, referring to Spacey's nefarious South Carolinian character of President Frank Underwood on House of Cards as more groans came from the crowd and the camera panned to show a chuckling Plummer. "It's a gay coming-of-age film".

Then Meyers threw this setup to comedian Billy Eichner: "Call Me by Your Name is nominated for Best Motion Picture. WHY?" and also, "I forgot to say "alleged". because i know better". And they said, "It's at a hotel", and long story short, I'm your host tonight. "The only name that would make him angrier would be the 'Hillary Mexico Salad Associated'". "I'm so inspired by men wearing black to the Golden Globes, an event to which they'd normally wear black tuxedos".
